Each item of cargo you are importing or exporting must satisfy official Customs formalities and regulations in order to proceed across international borders.

Having worked closely with international Customs authorities for a number of decades, our customers benefit from fast, efficient processing of their cargo through border formalities. Our Customs Clearance operations cover the entire range of cargo at all customs points of Sri Lanka whether it is a small parcel or full chartered load. We arrange cost effective on-carriage though trucking and barging as per project and cargo requisites. We are licensed to custom clear cargo.

All shipments crossing international borders must be cleared through Customs in the destination country prior to being delivered to the recipient. Unless the sender specified a broker, Goldland submits shipments to Customs and other regulatory agencies. It is the sender's responsibility to provide the necessary and correct documentation. If shipments are held by Customs because of incorrect or missing documentation we may first attempt to notify the recipient.

The company is a licensed customs house agent and operates a dedicated division with experienced staff to undertake all formalities related to the Import, Trans-Shipment, Export and Re-export of goods to and from Sri Lanka. The Customs house agents division of the company handles the customs clearing and forwarding, transport, unloading and loading and warehousing of approximately over one million tons of cargo; whether in Containers, Bulk and/or Break-Bulk such as Sugar, Fertilizer, Cement and other general merchandise.

Many of our customers are International trading groups who maintain bonded and buffer stocks of products such as Sugar, Rice and Fertilizer under a government approved bonded scheme. A unique feature of the service is that the company maintains total responsibility for the goods from the point of unloading from the vessel to delivery onto the customer’s buyer’s trucks and/or go-downs.
